Is It Love or Just Loneliness?
Sometimes, the lines between love and loneliness blur. You miss someone's presence, crave connection, and suddenly find yourself holding onto a feeling that might not even be real. You replay old messages, romanticize what was, and try to convince yourself it must be love because why else would you feel this much? But deep down, a quiet voice asks: "Am I missing them or am I just missing being seen?"
Loneliness can be powerful. It can trick you into settling for less than you deserve. It can make attention feel like affection and routine feel like romance. You start to confuse familiarity with connection and silence with peace. But real life is more than a momentary fix for emptiness. Real love doesn't leave you guessing, doesn't come and go based on convenience and doesn't feel like you're begging to matter.
It's okay to want connection. It's okay to miss people. But don't run back to something that only filled a void, not your heart. You deserve a love that's clear, consistent, and mutual, not one that only visits when the silence gets too loud.
So ask yourself honestly: "Do I love them, or do I just hate being alone?" And whatever the answer is, choose yourself first.
